Why we built Pawlee
Vet prices in the UK have been a mystery for too long. You’d take your pet in, hope for the best, and often leave feeling shocked by the bill. There was no easy way to compare, no transparency, and no way to know if you were paying a fair price.
That’s changing. In March 2026, the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) published the biggest vet sector reforms in 60 years. For the first time, UK vets are legally required to publish their prices. Full transparency, at last.
But published prices are only useful if you can actually compare them. That’s where Pawlee comes in.
What Pawlee does
Pawlee collects every published vet price across the UK and makes them easy to compare, side by side. Search by postcode and treatment to find the right vet for your pet and your wallet.

Pawlee is not owned by a vet chain, an insurance company, or a corporate group. We have no conflicts of interest. Our only job is helping pet owners find the best care at a fair price.
Free for pet owners
Pawlee is completely free to use. We keep the lights on with advertising, so you’ll see some ads on the site — but you’ll never pay a penny to compare vet prices.
